..or the finale of a simi-related, Indy jacket saga...take it away, boys!
As you may or may not remember, this novapelle jacket is 'special', special in that it has been treated much more kindly than it deserves...
I had ordered a copper n/p after having received a sample of the new hide several months ago and once received, it looked like this, initially:
Yep! It was a funky monkey! The streets of Cairo variety, so I bundled the rascal up and shipped it back across the great pond for a quick fix and bust it out o' the bag. Here was the amiable new n/p...
...presentable, spiffy and ready for navigating the next mis-adventure in a concrete jungle!
There was one issue outstanding...what to do?
Even though this n/p was made with the Rola pattern and had a hidden press stud installed, it looked more like a LC/CS jacket than it did a Raiders jacket.
Knowing that Tundy Jones dabbled in leather woking a bit, I'd initially asked if he could correct the matter for me. Instead, he referred me to another Dub-ya in Ca., a Mr. Wade Egan.
After some back and forth email pong, and after I'd twisted his arm significantly, threatened to burn his house down, etc., Wade said he'd take on the project...
and here is the result....
....many thanks to Wade for puttin' a whoopin' on that storm flap for me!
Now I can adventure in peace.
...cue the March....
Snaps on the storm flap...
