Hippopotamus™ Brand Chukka Boots

Post by Indiana Greg »

Where can I find these Hippopotamus™ Brand Chukka Boots?

Image

Sportsmans Guide had 'em for a bit. I know I have seen them w/ at least one other online retailer, but now I cannot find it again. These strongly resemble the RW GTs at about 1/10 the price, are light as a feather (14 oz.) and made in Albania. I got a pair of the blacks but missed out on the browns. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I got mine from Sportsman's Guide. I love 'em. They took some breaking in, but once they did...they're great. I wear them almost as often as my Todd's boots, and wear them more often when camping/hiking/hunting.

Good luck on your search.

Check the bay too...never know...

Last week I was in Syracuse NY and went to a K-Mart (they're long gone from Canada) and found a pair of genuine suede Wrangler Chukka Boots - on sale for $9.99! They are extremely comfortable, and the sole is designed for walking (so yes - these boots are made for walkin'!)

Anyone near a K-Mart, I recommend picking up a pair. They're in light or dark brown, and you can't go wrong for the price.

quality is surprisingly high. Made by Wrangler, so a brand name, not a one-off. The suede is good quality, and the rubber sole is great. I walked around for hours, and my feet were fine - not sore at all. It has a slight tread, not a lug sole.

I have the box at home so if I remember, I'll post the name/code for them here later. I just know that I have seen similar boots go for around $100
