My young Indy fedora *NEW PICS*

Post by indy89 »

I came home from San Antonio on Sunday, and I find a box sitting on top of my bed. It was my Christys' Adventurer!! I requested a 3" brim and a 2" dark brown ribbon. Luckily they had the ribbon in stock. I'd like to thank Tremolo for helping me out on the color and the little details. Enough talking! Here's some pictures.

I wore my YIJ hat today on a little bike ride and got it drenched in my sweat. It broke in real nicely :)

Congratulations on your new great Young Indy hat! It looks great and the bash is very "Springbreak-Adventureish"! Just keep working that brim and you will see it ony gets better looking each day!
I´m very happy for you that they had that hard to find dark brown 2inch ribbon in stock for you, and I have to say it looks marvelous! Enjoy your new hat and please post more photos of it in the future!

Great Job!!! I've been wanting to have a lid with that bash for sometime.

Looks perfect and is a nice standout from the usual bashes we see around these parts.

I'm not a huge fan of the show's hat, but that is a very, very nice representation. Enjoy it!

I once had the "real deal" from HJ made during the time of the series, and your Christys looks just as I remember mine did. The bow work was slightly different, that's all.

Great hat!

Thanks for the kind words, gents ;) It took me a while to get used to the look of this hat, but after wearing it all day today, I can safely say that I'm used to it.

I didn't like young indy's hats at first but towards the later episodes as they changed it and styled it more and more I started enjoying it......

It started getting more of a C dent with a almost squared brim.....

I took some pictures of my ALMOST 1 year old Christys' Adventurer. It has broke in nicely since I've got it. It definetly is the floppiest hat I own, and is surprisingly tough! :D

Sure is! I've been thinking of trimming a little bit off, but I'd hate to screw it up. It's no big deal anyway.

niceee~ I can see now how it can be really floppy, especially on the sides.
Yeah I wouldn't do the trimming myself...knowing how I am with arts and crafts lol.
looks good though~ it helps, especially, under the sun :D

Why mess with perfection?

Your Young Indy looks great, I wouldn't touch it.

Thanks, ajocampo ;) The wide brim sure does help out a lot against the sun.
