Re: CS Fedora "Screen Used" Auction
I would love to know as well. I was actually tracking the hat carefully so I could update Steve with the final selling price. However we lost our internet connection at work yesterday morning and by the time I could check it at home the auction was over. We didn't recover our internet connection until early this afternoon.
Re: CS Fedora "Screen Used" Auction
Found a site(throwmetheidol.com) that said it SOLD for $19,501. Someone named Ed Dolista won it.

Re: CS Fedora "Screen Used" Auction
Over $19,000!! That's crazy. I hope some of that money goes to charity or something. Collectors are kind of nuts. Hmmm... down payment on a house... help send a kid to college... or buy a hat that Harrison Ford wore three years ago. I hope whoever bought it actually wears it! At least once. If it is the right size. Maybe someone should tell the buyer that Steve would have made him one for less than $700.
Okay, I'm kidding. Sort of. Historical objects are weird. I mean, it's still just stuff, just tangible material. So you can say it was there, in the past, but here it is in the present. There is only the now. And stuff is stuff. Dust to dust.
So why do I keep buying leather jackets...

Did a search and it appears Ed Dolista is a big Indy fan and does the Indy pod cast. Is he a member of COW?sithspawn wrote:Found a site(throwmetheidol.com) that said it SOLD for $19,501. Someone named Ed Dolista won it.

Wow! I listen to that podcast most of the time. I think he's a member at The Raven, but maybe not here. I've heard him mention The Raven several times on the podcast.

Wow. To think I only paid a couple hundred bucks for my SA CS fedora. The only think it's missing is some marker scribble inside it.
Re: CS Fedora "Screen Used" Auction
I was thinking the same thing. I have one of Steve's special CS hats made with the SA liner and other materials. All I have to do is get HF to sign it and I too can auction it for $20,000. With the economy like it is I could use the cash.binkmeisterRick wrote:Wow. To think I only paid a couple hundred bucks for my SA CS fedora. I've got a "Ford Felt" model. I've been pondering if I want to sell it.
