That's interesting because I'm right handed and always use my left side pocket on all my dual pocket shirts. If they have a button it's always unbuttoned.
That being the case are you Backstagejack left handed by chance? Just curious.

LOL, thanks for the compliments....

No, I'm not left handed....the left pocket has the pen holder in it....and I had a pen in there before the pic. I hate having a pen through the pen hole and the pocket un-buttoned....

Yeah, working on the LC look, I've done some more to the hat to get the side curls after the pic. gotta just get the jacket and everything else from the waist down. and maybe trim a little on the middle....:-)

Thanks again guys!!

Just got my shirt safe and sound. Looks great. Only one complaint.

I usually buy Smalls at stores like Express, Banana Republic, Club Monaco. When they say fitted, I love the way it fits, not too tight, but definitely well fitting on me. I'm by no means super skinny, in fact I have a bit of pudge I'm trying to work off. 150@5'7. I wish this fit just a little tighter, maybe a couple inches off the chest/waist/abdomen area.

Anyone know if tailors can take that in? Would it still look good? Would love some advice from Azuma on this.

Hi Flowah,

Small sized shirt shouldn't be far off from Banana Republic's small shirts. When we decide our size chart, we do compare with some size chart from different brands. And BR is one of them. I actually wear small sized BR shirts, and I can have it compared later today. If you can find good tailors to modify the shirt, they should be able to modify the shirt without a trace.

We can also make the modification for you, but there will be handeling fees, and will take a little while, as tailors will have to do it after their confirmed production schedule.

Best regards,

My intrest is defifently there for one of these. I was reveiwed the size chart and M looks like the way to go, but do these tend to run tighter in the middle, I have "belly" ;) not overly big, but when I wear a medium shirt I bought at Kohls, it fits fine around my "middle" :- . All measurments point toward a M, but my waist size points to a L, but then all the other demensions are thrown off.

Who else has bought this shirt with similar size concerns.

Just bought one yesterday, with the shipping I chose it should arrive sometime next week.
In the meantime, are there any pics yet with the shirt with a black tie?

Hi Flowah,

I did a quick comparasion of the LC shirt with one of my BR small sized shirts last night, and found out that LC shirt is slightly smaller than BR shirt. I believe I bought the BR shirt in 2002 or 2004. Unless they changed the pattern, their Small sized shirt actuall runs slightlly larger than the small sized LC shirt.

Shoulder accross: LC shirt is 3/4" narrower than BR
Chest accross: LC shirt is 1" narrower than BR
Waist accross: LC shirt is 1" narrower than BR
Sleeve length: LC shirt is 1.5" longer than BR

Hope this help.

Hm yeah. Maybe just my small Express fitted shirts then. Meh. Either way, I'm talking to a tailor to make it fit better. Still a great shirt, wearing it right now. :D

Kyle
I don't really need a custom shirt, I consistently wear an XL in every brand of dress or casual shirt. I was just showing my specs to show that an XL is not to far off to make it an offering. Heck just go get one off the rack and use those specs and I imagine it will fit me fine.
I believe a "custom" XL was made for Indiana Jake. If I was to ever order one, I would need an XL as well.

Technically, the shirt we made for Jake was for developing our XL pattern, and based on Jake's wearing experience, the shirt is still a little tight on him compared with his todd's XL.

Actually, the Todd's shirt that I was comparing it to was a Todd's XXL (the smaller XXL?) as there are now two XXL's on his website. I'm 6 ft tall, wearing a 46 Wested Jacket. Todd's shirt fits me though the middle, but the XL Azuma still needed more room for me in the shoulders for a loose enough fit while using a whip. The shirt would fit me better in the middle if I was fit better in the middle. That's another story. Luckily the Todd's XXL does fit me in the middle.

After having my Azuma LC shirt for several months now... I can say that it really is a FANTASTIC shirt! I never want to wear my NH shirt anymore (because they aren't even being made anymore and because it is THE SHIRT!!!). But that's okay, because I feel like my Azuma shirt is a very suitable replacement!

Well I ordered one last week and arrived today, took some pics which I'll put up tommorrow, washed it, wore it while it dried, felt real comfortable. Qustion Azumma, on your site it say: wash, but don't put in the dryer.
1) Why.
2) Can I use a iron on it set to low heat to get of the wrinkles out of sleeves.

Like this shirt very much.

Hi guys,

I am glad you all like the shirts. I personally think it is a nice shirt for your Indy collection, and also a shirt that you can wear regularly.

Hi Croft,

The fabric used to make the shirt is 100% cotton, and it will shrink if put in dryer. We don't know how much it will shrink, as dryer is not a common household electronic item in Taiwan (people are used to dry the cloths naturally here), so we haven't had chance to dry the shirt in dryer so far.

BTW, You can iron the shirt without problem~ after dried, of course.

Azuma

I'm long waisted and my Todd's shirt doesn't quiet sit right on me?
How does azuma's compare and/or Azuma, do you make a tall?

Ok as promised, pics. Took them this AM, yawn. Any way, love the look of this shirt, had reservations at first, but I like the way it fits. Azuma, my hats off to you. \:D/
Read you were doing a TOD shirt, any way to still jump on board for a Med.

And since you've done the LC shirt, word of the TOD shirt, that only leaves ROTLA and CS, I'd but one of each, you can put on the list. ;) [-o< [-o< :- [-o< [-o< ;)

Ok onto the pic's: first was taken in some shade, you can see how the color changes based on lighting. (but haven't we always said that)

I actuley picked up off my hobby shop when I was 17, I'm now 50.
Been carting this baby all over the place. My friend Steel Beast thinks it just might be a de-commisioned MP-40. Was my favorite machine gun whle watching war movies in my younger day.

And thanks for the compliments

Very cool and super Indy-esque! It's not a prop gun I see a lot of around the boards. Looks great.

You'll have to give us some shots of you gun in hand with jacket and tie telling your dad, "Don't call me Jr.!"

Glad I jumped on this and ordered two. Would have ordered more. Might still.
Folks, this is HANDS DOWN the finest Indy shirt I have ever owned save for my one and only Noel Howard. The weight of this shirt, and color are tops. Holding both Azuma's and NH's in my hands, he got so much right. I hope Azuma continues to make really awesome shirts.

Btw, there WAS a scene with Indy with his jacket off. I caught it on the LC dvd documentary. There was a shot of Indy sans jacket pacing back and forth in what looked like Iskenderun. and it was actually being filmed...so it must have just been cut.

Sure wish ol'george would give up those deleted scenes....

There is a bunch of stuff that got cut in which you can see Harrison without the jacket on.

Just one of many examples...

I agree 100%! I have 2 NH shirts (an MBA and a NH that I bought from Wested). Besides those 2 shirts I have an Azuma LC. To me it feels just like a NH shirt! I can barely tell the difference! That's why if you can... pick up an Azuma shirt! You won't regret it!

There should be a little tag towards the bottom of the inside of the shirt with the size on it

Hi guys,

Thank you so much for the positive feedbacks on my LC shirts. I am glad that you like the shirts as I do.

The LC shirt size spec is the same for both runs, as they were cut and produced from the same pattern. The only thing changed for the later run is the color of the buttons. Other than that, the shirts from both runs are exactly the same.

As you know the size charts are variant from different brands. My size chart is based on several different brands, therefore it may be M2 in certain brands, or XL in others. So the best way to chose your best fitting is to check the measurement on my LC shirt size chart. :TOH:
