Wested order problems
Last week I ordered a jacket from wested, it was a custom order that had`nt been paid for, so the price was very good. I got an order number and a thank you. After a few days went by , I emailed and asked my order status. The reply was that my card had been declined. OK, odd, but it happens, even when theres a zero balance. The odd thing was , I was never contacted back and told there was an issue with my card, or any update what so ever.If I had not contacted them back, I would still be under the illusion I had a raiders jacked coming. Just for my own curiosity, I contacted my credit card company to find out what happened. I was informed that there had`nt been any transactions on my card, much less anything declined. So, did gemma lie to me? did a number get punched in wrong, and instead of contacting me, they just ignore my order? Are they so busy that my $200 meant nothing? I want to order from them, but if this is the level of customer service, I`ll send my money elsewhere.

Re: Wested order problems
So try again to call or e-mail to purchase the jacket? If you take your money elsewhere than you have to buy what they have. I have two Wested Jackets that were custom ordered. I am pleased with them, however they aren't perfect. At the time I didn't even know who else to go with. I can live with their faults, as they are small and inconsequential. While some of the other makers make a good jacket, they do cost more money. With the exception of what Tony Nowak was making, I am not sure what other jackets from other makers I would want. Welcome to "How many jackets do I need to get this right?"

Re: Wested order problems
The best way I find to place an order is to contact Gemma first, tell her what you want and then she will tell you to place your order on line. Then I get the automated reply and then check it with Gemma to confirm. It seems to work everytime for me! That way it seems she can place a name with an order from personal e-mails, and checks up on them when I give her the automated info. Long process but it seems to work the best.
More personal the better! I do not trust the automated age.

I'm glad that you have had good success with this, but you really shouldn't have to do a 35 step process with a flow chart to get your order through. Not when they have an online order form.
That being said, someone else had this very problem a while back. I don't know how they resolved it though (probably just ordering again). It might be worth looking back a few pages to see if you can find the thread.
Re: Wested order problems
When I placed my order last month I had a similar issue with the credit card, but Wested's website immidiately gave me an order number with the message that the payment was not received. I contacted Gemma with the order number, and she confirmed that the payment didn't go through, and asked that I placed the order again. At the same time I received the automated email saying that my original order has failed.
I assumed that the issued involved paypal somehow. I don't use it often, and don't really have a good knowledge of it. Perhaps paypal and the Wested site have problems connecting from time to time??
My second order by the way went through perfectly, with automated replies when the order was "processing", and when it was shipped.
