Wested Off the Rack Jacket

Morning all
I need some advice on wested's off the rack jacket size. Dose anyone have one in a 44 or a 46 that they could measure for me?

I emailed Gemma last night and had a reply this morning saying that a 44 has a 26.5 Sleeve and a 26.5 back. A 46 has a 27.7 sleeve and a 27.5 back, which totally doesn’t match up to the sizing guide on there web page. Could someone confirm?

I have 2 but they're a couple of years old I will measure them when I get home tonight

Just guessing, but if a company is making off the rack sizing, it's going to be a very "middle-of-the-road" sort of "averaging" on the sizing. In other words, they'll figure on what a "typical" person that would wear a 44R suit would look like...height, weight, build, etc...and they'll make a jacket for that "typical" person.

Only if you're a very atypical height, weight, build, etc should you have any real problems with ANY off the rack sizing from ANY company...

I can only assume Wested would be no different.

My LC in washed goat is a one month old 44 OTR; it is 27.5" from collar seam to bottom of the back and the outside of the sleeve measures 25" from seam to cuff.

My Raiders in Lamb is a bit older, but less worn 44 OTR; 26.5" back and 24.5" sleeve.

OTR goat is; back not including collar stand 26, sleeves 25.5, OTR lamb 26.25 sleeves 25.5 these are several year old jackets
