I bought a J series 10 foot. I thought it was unique and very well made but in the end I just didn't like it so I sold it. Not for everyone, as Dan says. It was too heavy and stiff for me and reminded me of an overly tensed muscle. It's a creative new design, and worth a place in any serious collection, but it was the action when cracking that I didn't like.

I find the Morgan style whip very easy and natural to crack. It flows beautifully for me and cracks easily and loudly and I desire no other type of whip, to crack or to collect. The Indy 4 was also easy to crack but it definitely had a totally different action. I sold mine and used the money to buy a Bernardo Morgan style whip, also 10 foot and same colour and knots, but thinner and made without the binding. It is based on the LC pattern. I am very happy with this whip.

I think the Indy 4 whip is very good, made by one of the world's best master whipmakers, but I personally prefer David Morgan's design.

Bernardo is one of the world's best master whipmakers too.
