My Roommate wanted to borrow my '03 Raiders for a night out!

Post by Ravenswood »

And guess what? He looks MUCH better in it that I ever did!! It's an old custom lambskin Raiders with
almost seven years of wear, and NO treatment whatsoever. Just a tried and true workhorse.
Just LOOK at those wear patterns! I'd be hard pressed to give it up! [-( hhehehe.

Thanks Holt! & yeah, I should treat that pocket soon! It's practically suede at this point! :anxious:
BTW, even though it's a fully custom cut jacket, it DEFINITELY needed some broad shoulders....observe:

Nice jacket. Is the wear all 'natural' or has it been helped a little?

Thanks Holt! :TOH: The wear is completely natural. I started giving the jacket a good work-out when I worked for a live sound crew, hauling and pushing around LOTS of sharp-edged gear...not to mention the door handles with which those handwarmers became all to intimate with, time and time again...really, I can't tell you how many times those pockets would snag on door handles...I attribute that to the oversized cut, which was REALLY evident in the lower half of the front panels, to the extent it would billow out and end up looking like a beer-gut if i sat down just the right way  Those pockets would flap around a lot!
I always meant to get them stitched back up, but never got around to it.
