KOTCS Train Station/Campus Chase gear

Post by Mississippi Jones »

Anybody have any attire that resembles what Indy wore in KOTCS in the train station scene and the campus chase scene?

I know a Moonstone Fed would be right. Some brown slacks, a light gray wool blazer, and brown shoes would do as well.

But what I've had trouble trying to find is the shirt. It's a white shirt with very light brown stripes. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anybody have any close enoughs?

I don't have one, but I saw almost the exact shirt (not my size) by Van Heusen (spelling?) a couple of months back. For all I know, it was the exact shirt. It's amazing how hard it is to find a shirt like that, isn't it? You'd think it would be rather common.

Not as common as you'd think. Remember these were made to look like the shirts in the 50s

That's just classic LFL shenanigans, making an item that looks like it could be found anywhere on earth, yet changing the slightest little detail to make gear heads like us absolutely mad, both crazy and literally :x :(

There is a tailor that made Harrison Ford's CS Adventure shirts that has been listed elsewhere. This Beverly Hills tailor likely got the contract for the dress shirts as well. Go there, and you'll probably find what you're looking for. it is going to cost $$$ plenty, but it will be SA!

I think Jake's probably right, and let me broaden the conspiracy theory by making the assumption that Anto's probably made Ford's suit as well... and teaching clothes... and tuxedo... ;)

I looked all over the place for a similar fabric to this;

And could only find this;

It's hard to say as colors look so different from picture to picture and computer to computer.

Thanks for the great responses and pics, guys. I wouldn't be surprised if Indy Magnoli has thought about adding this outfit to his list. Maybe if we start e-mailing him? :-k

Boy Kyle --- YOU SAID IT ALL! I'm absolutely going CRAZY with all the gear items! Like I've told people, I don't know if Lucas and Speilberg intended on this, but it's my "conspiracy theory" that they did all of these little tweakings on everything with the idea in the back of their mind, "OK. Let's see how the fans are going to handle this one. Good luck searching!!! We've got the monopoly and secrets -- you've gotta do the work yourselves. :lol: :lol: :lol: "

Talk about a grouping of sadistic people there in Hollywood ;)

I think we should kidnap Bernie and make him sing like a canary pertaining to the costume fabrics and tailorings. :mrgreen:

Now that sounds like fun!

We're still better off than Star Wars fans. It's not like you can walk into an average mall and pick up a close enough Vader costume. Details aside you could get this entire ensemble in one afternoon of shopping. An ensemble, by the way, that I think is the worst looking outfit Dr. Jones wears in any of the four movies. I don't care for the way the jacket and trousers go together.

Someday it will come in the mail, but I have on order with Steve a grey KS hat made with a body from the same batch as Harrison's. I'm looking forward to having in my hat rotation.

I have a Geoffry Beene shirt that is about 90% accurate to that shirt. Git it about a year ago at one of their outlet stores.

Here's the Magnoli CS train/campus jacket. It's in grey herringbone tweed, but the picture doesn't give justice to the beautiful tweed pattern.
Thanks again to Indy Magnoli for this great attention to details!

Really? I like the look on him, to me, it works well together.

P.S Steerpike, any chance of a closeup on the fabric? From a distance, it looks fantastic.

I'm resurecting this thread cause I'm throwing in my hat for my close enough look on the train station look. One day I'll invest in one of Magnolis shirts and look harder for the correct jacket.
So to start: Penman Travel hat (see this thread for more shots)
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47968
Shirt: MensWare house, panto w/brown strip. $59.99
Tie: Kohl's, Belt: Kohl's, shoes: Kohl's $28.00, Pants, yep you guessed it Kohl's $55.00 and today I found a close enough jacket, more herringbone, but the color looks great. And oh yea, I bought it at Kohl's, on clearnce no less, after my discounts I paid $43.35 I don't wear jackets to often so I just can't see spending big bucks.

I know this is resurrecting an old thread, but I finally have a close-enough CS Train Traveling outfit. I had to have the jacket taken in quite a bit due to the weight loss, and so I just got it back.
