San Diego Leather Jacket Factory

Post by Swindiana »

I did a search and only came up with these guys briefly being mentioned in a thread that was actually about Flightsuits in San Diego.

They call it the 'Indiana Jones leather bomber jacket' and all the info is there if you follow the link:

http://www.leather.com/AVIATION/indy.htm

I may have missed out on this, but does someone have any info?
Do they make them themselves or are they just retailing?
:-k

Sort of confused...

Hi...If actually visited the place about 3 years ago when I was in San Diego at a Conference. I was looking for a G-1 and/or A-2 at the time and they advertsise in military newspapers and are really cheap compared to Avirex. I bought nothing when I went there. The folks there were really nice, but my assessment was that these were sort of imitation jackets and not the "real thing" as far as G-1s and A-2s went. I was not really impressed. I am prepared to be wrong and be criticized for this assessment, and I mean no malice to these folks...but at the time, compared to an Avirex or Cooper, the cheaper price was not worth it to me.

The cuffs on that "Indy" jacket are wrong too.
