Oh for sure! I know that its a possibility. If I really wanted one, I would definitely get one. I'm just saying my priorities are not an Indy Jacket. Not that there's anything wrong with those of you for whom it is. I can't justify that extra money because I don't want to. I've got other things I'd rather blow money on... I think we're saying the same thing here RC, its just not translating in text.

Ill bet that little lepricon gets pretty p'off when he finds out his shoebuckles were stolen.
How'd they get the Holt specs?
Re: Ok...I have a question.
I'll add my two cents here (as I'm sure many expected) but I'm a high school history teacher and own a few Nowaks. It's just a matter of budgeting (that and I got rid of some stuff from other hobbies to fund this one), and, as Hollowpond notes, how much an Indy jacket flashes on your radar. I'm not saying that Nowaks are the only one out there. I'm a fan of Wings and the Magnoli jacket (not Indy) I've seen is also top notch. I've owned an Expo as well (forgot to mention that to Agent 5 when he was curious ) and, while I'm not a fan of the leather, itself, the construction is top-notch and it's one of the most comfortable jackets I've owned. But, it's up to each person to decide for them if it's worth it or not.
But, here's the thing, how many people that have bought a Nowak have mentioned the price after they own one? How many have said, "I can't believe that I spent this much on a jacket, it's totally not worth it"?

Re: Ok...I have a question.
That's what I'm hearing....we'll see...
Oh, BTW, Bink...I am quite fond of my FS Expedition...it was the ONLY Indy jacket that survived the "Great Jacket Purge" way back around 2002 when I sold off just about everything I had, jacket-wise. The only things I kept were the Expo and my Aero Real Deal 15142 A-2...
So, yeah...I do know a BIT about the G&B

I knew you were a G&B fan, but it's been so long since I've seen you around these parts that my memory was getting rusty. Don't stay away so long, okay?
I got to side-by-side compare a number of Nowak jackets (my own included) with various FS jackets at the Queen Mary Summit a couple years ago and both makers were neck and neck in terms of quality and construction. I can understand why you held on to your Expo!

Hey, I know that source!! Am I the only one here that does? If so, it would be the first time that I knew something the other guys didn't! But I did not pay attention very well to the source when he told me he had sent that jacket to Tony. Seems like I recall he said he got it from someone at B and N. Years ago. But not really sure. This guy is in the film biz though. But since he has not chimed in on these threads, he must have a reason for not doing so. So, I better shut up! FedoraTony claims to have been lent THE jacket from an inside, unnamed source,

Oh man, I feel out of the loop here, but I am a new guy around these parts. I can use my imagination. Anyway, the point being, after all that I have read and seen around here, I completely believe that Tony did indeed copy THE original jacket we think of as the hero jacket in Raiders.
Seeing as THE jacket has been so hard to replicate all these years, Tony can charge whatever he likes, and those that have shelled out the dough seem very satisfied.

If nothing else, the surest bet on all the jackets has to be that a Nowak will be screen-accurate to KOTCS. (At least until the screen-grabs of differences start showing up.)

Re: Ok...I have a question.
Shoot, LJ, folks were saying there were problems with TN jackets back when the CS film was in production, complete with 'proof' using the photo of the rack full of jackets waiting to be used on set, and showing they were all different shades of brown!
If people want to 'find' a problem, they usually will, no matter how insignificant the so called 'problem' might be.

Yeah someone can separate the jackets by shade of brown.....Long John Tinfoil wrote:If nothing else, the surest bet on all the jackets has to be that a Nowak will be screen-accurate to KOTCS. (At least until the screen-grabs of differences start showing up.)

Now I'm reminded about a comedy bit someone did on black socks...
