I went to Pecards website. www.pecards.com
1. What is the exact type of Pecards I should get for Predistressed COW?
2. How much will I need for 1 TOD jacket in Pre-D COW?
3. What is the procedure for applying it? (thickness & drying time, etc.)
TIA

Get the classic (standard) dressing. My tub lasted me several (3-4 applications on the jacket in addition to applications to my whip and several pairs of shoes. I'm guessing mine is the 8oz size because it's about the size of an 8 oz tub of cream cheese. (I can't find the capacity amount on the container.)

Use your bare hands to apply, rubbing it in as you go. I've found that the easiest way to do this is to hang the jacket on a wooden form hanger, then hang on a shower rod in your bathroom. This allows you to get to all areas of the jacket at about eye level, and rotate the jacket around as needed without having to wrestle it. Allow to hang overnight and to soak in all the product it can. If it still has 'dry spots', retouch, and allow to hang and dry again at room temperature. You can, of course, move the jacket to another room, but in one that's at room temperature (not a cold garage. It will take forever for it to soak in that way this time of year) The jacket will become a mahagony color (for lack of a better description) that, in opinion, is about the nicest looking color I've seen on a jacket. The first one I ever saw (and owned for that matter) was the one _ had that he used Pecards standard dressing, and the color was just wonderful. It still had all the highlights of the wear areas, but was a rich brown color as well. _ was the very first to apply Pecards on a distressed Wested that I know of, and I tip my fedora to the man, as he pretty much led the way in the forums in the discovery of knowledge that you CAN reclaim a distressed jacket (intentional or natural) using a product such as Pecards. I just picked up the torch and ran with it. (_ is a big man, but I can out run him if I have to,...well, I can at least try. ) High regards. Michaelson
