Potential Indy Alternative Boot

Post by JerseyJones »

Hey All,

These are from Allen Edmonds, who is at least priced on a par with Alden.

https://www.allenedmonds.com/webapp/wcs ... 5D3slEQ%3D

The Boot called the "LOGAN" has a lug sole and padded collar, a bit more conducive to climbing, running from Hovitos etc. :)

Anybody know these boots ?

Never heard of 'em. And d*mn...these are out of my price range too! Yes, they are nice, though. But, again, for the price, I'd go with Aldens.

Ken, aren't you an attorney? You may want to check out this thread from the bullwhip forum (if you haven't done so already).

A trained eye might be in order. Do you charge by the hour...or do you have a flat fee?

Best,

Chris

I can work with someone on the rate. ;) And as I posted there vendors should consult local counsel. Any NJ vendors may seek me out if they so wish !

$275.00 ??? Why not just buy the Alden's, they're 20 bucks cheaper and the real deal to boot (pun intended).

I think I'll stick with my $40 JCrew's for now.

I was actually thinking of an evolved version boot for Indy onscreen. Maybe in Indy IV ?

Just a thought,

Whatever's in Indy IV will be true to the period, 1950's that is...

Don't count on much of a change to the Gear for Jones 4.

Well, if 1970-80's Alden's were considered ok for a 30's era movie, then I would think they are just as good for the 50's.

hey gearheads,

these logan boots appear to have a better color than the most recent aldens. the dark brown looks a #### of a lot better than the orangish aldens, when new. any comments on this?

for roughly the same price as aldens, these logans have my vote.

Checl these LL Bean boots out. You've probably already seen them, nut they are very "Indy-esque".
