Indy's gloves

Post by Exulted Unicron »

I'm wanting to get a pair of gloves to get a bit closer to finishing the costume. I know a place where I can get these:

would they work by dying them green and roughing them up some?

Toddscostumes.com

They're cheap and they more than look the part. And anyway, it shouldn't be hard to find a sorta kinda close-enough pair of white leather gloves in a home improvement store; leather gloves are really pretty affordable. But those that you posted really don't give off the vibe, in my view.

thats the thing. Is there a definite colour for the gloves? Some pictures from Raiders and the action figure put the gloves as being green, yet some pictures from the comic books show them as being tan

As most here have already stated, Todds is your best best! They are great gloves. Or just check out your local hardware store.

Good luck!

Those could work. Make sure you get them broken in and filthy. What I did was take some craft store paint, which you can thin with water, and rubbed the paint in while running the gloves under the faucet. the water helped spread the paint and distress the leather. Then I threw it in a dryer just enough to get them mostly dry. I think I have to make mine darker tho.

I think if I rolled them around in all the dirt in the garden and such, that'd work

These are my Magnoli gloves. The real use/abuse on field just gave them a real Indy look.
I use them with regularity on every speleo digging.
Thumbs up for Mag's gloves!

Definitely check Wal-Mart... They the Wells Lamont gloves as well as some identical Dickies, BUT the Dickies are really nice thin tough Goatskin. Way better dexterity with those.
