Tailoring Bigger Than I Wear Officer Pinks

Post by Indiana Jeff »

Got to thinking about using original officer pinks to create Raiders trousers. I wear a 34 waist so if I got a pair that was at least 10 inches bigger in the waist would that give me enough material to have a tailor make the pleats? I doubt this is an original idea so anyone with experience trying this? Or anyone with tailoring experience that has an idea of how much extra material I would need to have enough to make pleats?

Jeff,

Have you done anything with this? I've been considering doing the same thing!

Not to date. I've looked around online for inexpensive pinks, but haven't found any that I think would be big enough to work.
