I have four Strains (8' KOTCS, 10' Raiders, and a matched pair of 4' "Aussie" whips), and my next Strain order (though it will be some time from now) will be a matched pair of 6' Lonestar whips!

Joe is THE MAN when it comes to whips. He has truly earned his nickname, "the machine", not because his work seems to be done by machine (his hand-crafted work is beyond compare!), but because he works so quickly! His prices are competitive, his work is TOPS, his customer service is TOPS, he fills his orders faster than ANYONE, and his whips are easily among the best in the world.

I can't say enough about the high quality of this man, his service and his products!

I've really got nothing substantial to add other than it's a beautiful whip, Gaucho!

I honestly don't know how Strain can start with ALL natural materials, that are HAND cut, HAND plaited, and HAND finished and come up with such a consistently amazing product.

A true craftsman in the days of mass production.

You're handling a piece of artwork there, Gaucho...Crack it with love and pride.

I really like those whips! I own a 8 foot 12 plait whiskey Indy whip from Joe. It was my first and I will never sell it. Take care of the whip and it will age gracefully, not to mention that whiskey takes on a great color over time.

I like that model very well, I am thinking of getting one of the Lonestar models next so I can give my Jacka aussie a rest for a bit.

I happened to pick up this beauty, a 12 foot, 12 plait monster of a whip that I have named the Black Mamba after the large deadly snake from Africa. I have had only one chance to crack as it is the dead of winter and I hesitate to take it out in the snow, but come spring watch out. As has already been stated Strain whips are indeed works of art!

Congratulations on the new whip!!!

Kind regards.

Yeah, I dig that "Black Mamba". Sweet looking whip. I want my matched pair of 6' whips to have the same look. Black with the red highlights, though I may have him make one with red and one with some other color. My other pair are brandy with red and then yellow highlights.

But man, a 12' whip! I'm handy enough with a 10' whip, but that's about all I can handle.

Hey Bob,
Do you care to post a video of the "mamba" as well? I would love to see it in action. That is definately my next on the list whenever it happens \:D/

Probably going to go for a 10' Strain whip this summer (about to get a raise at work...I think). I can't see your pic due to my libraries restrictions..what color did you get it in?

Part of me wants to get it in natural tan and break it in and tan it myself through hopefuly much use.....but the other part of me wants it to be accurate LC color....which was fairly dark if I recall. I was thinking on getting it in Brandy....

Yeah, that has me scratchin' my head as well on colors. I already Joe's IJ production whip in whiskey and it is beautiful. But I am not sure what color the Lonestar is going to be :-k .

I allways see the Joe Strain website and Bernardo Delcarpio looking for any idea for a new whip.

This 2 websites are nice, but Joe and Bernardo can post most new pics or a actual gallery for motivation in new costumers.
