Last Crusade Bag Stap

Post by Jonny Whip Crack »

Hi guys and gals. I have a Keppler bag strap that is very 'Raiders' in color. I'm looking to buy a bag strap that is the dark brown color as seen in the Last Crusade. Anyone in here have any suggestions as to who makes these? I remember once seeing a fellow COW member who made whip holders and such in the darker brown, but can't find the link.
Thanks everyone.

That man would be Wade Egan. He makes probably the finest Indy leather gear you can buy. Nice fellow as well!! Good luck on your quest!!

www.wadeegangear.com go with the weathered LC strap. The one pictured on his website is mine! \:D/ I LOVE mine. Strong enough to hang from a tank gun barrel on too!

I have to agree that Wade is an outstanding source for Indy Leather Gear and his customer service knows no equal. My gun belt, whip holder and bag strap are all from Wade and are awesome pieces. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

But to make the best choice for you, you should have all the information, so I have to mention Jake Johnson (Indiana Jake around here.) Jake made my CS holster for my WG and it is a perfect piece of work.

As for bag straps, Jake makes a 7/8 " bag strap, as his research suggests that the straps in the last three films were more narrow than the 1" Raiders strap. Here's the link to his thread about his straps:

Best to you on your search!

I would have mentioned Jake as well but I wasn't sure he made straps. #-o Now I know!! Jake makes great gear as well. Can't go wrong with either one!!

Here is my Wade LC strap. Of the 4 LC straps I've had, this definitewly takes the cake.

My beveled and aged TOD, LC, and CS straps measure closer to 7/8" than the wider Raiders straps. Just like the straps in the films. Anyone who has one can measure to confirm. I also believe that the last three screen used straps were beveled and therefore measure 7/8" in width.

Just placed an order for a TOD/LC/CS strap. Can't wait. A few months back some joker got on this forum and "bought" my last strap (raiders style) and gunbelt. Thinking if he was on this forum that he was cool, I shipped it off immediately with his promise that he immediately shipped off a check. It wasn't till after the fact that I checked and he only had one posting ever on the forum....my stupid fault.

So, I've had a mark VII hanging around my house with no strap....lol. I wanted to go LC style anyways.

All I've ever heard was good things about Wade's product so I'm really looking forward to it.

No, the guy, indyinmiami, I believe. Kept insisting he sent it by USPS...but I never got it. He stopped replying to my posts. And I never saw him on the forum again....oh well, my fault for not checking him out. I've dealt with others since then and I pretty much figure if they're a member of decent standing (several posts under their belt or years on the forum) then I deal with them. If not, I have to get the money first from now on.

What ***** though is it was a Noel Howard Raiders and gunbelt which I can never get again....*sigh* my own stupid fault....

Believe me, I learned that lesson, lol :TOH: Now, I check to see if they're an established member, and I ask for the money first. And as an update, my strap is out for delivery today!!! Just in time for me to go camping with my mrk VII!!!
