It's kip, isn't it? Very nice whip, properly cut strands, smooth plaiting.

Very nice great taper on that one. Do you use lead in the heel knot ? I know some makers do and others don´t. My Strain could also double as a bludgeon!

Thanks for the compliments guys. It is kip :TOH: and the handle is lead loaded. You could sure use this as a bludgeon ;)

I buy it from Le Prevo and it comes in three thicknesses. 1mm, 1.2mm and 1.4mm. The 1.2mm hides are grade 3 so I never use those.
