Hi guys. I received 6 hides from Packer Leather on Tuesday. Two of them were huge: 100 and 103dm2. I got so excited, since I have always read many are really small (50-60dm2). Now that I have two of them, I think I'll keep them for later until I find out how to get the best out of them. I'd really appreciate if you could tell me how to make the most out of it.
Thank you in advance.

REally???
Ok... I know you're kidding Louie (because I'm still not up to the level of making a 25ft whip )... but then I understand I could make a 12 footer ALL kangaroo? 2 12 footers? That'd be kool!!!
Thanks.

And according to Paul Stenhouse's tutorial - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40634 - two 10 footers and one 7 footer or two 8 footer and one 10 footer and so on

I think your first thought was best; if you have doubts, maybe just hang on to them for a bit until you feel you are ready to use such a mana. It could make for cool long whips where everything was made from the same hide...

Thank you for your replies, guys.
You're right Tomek. I'll reread PS's tutorial. I forgot he has a chart with equivalences for picking up hides.
Hey Franco, I got to that same conclusion you talk about after seeing that just rushing things wasn't that wise (at least for me)...
In the meantime, I'll use them to make a teepee.
