Pic of my Raiders Wested Novapelle
Here is a pic of me in my Raiders Wested Novapelle. It has had about a year of occasional wear, slept in a couple of times, and no artificial distressing short of the distressed Novapelle finish. Great job Peter! I also credit Indiana Holt for use of some of his jacket specs. Today was mix and match day, so the gear does not match a specific film

It's weathering very nicely and looking like you've shared many adventures together.

Sharp!
Give us a gear list of everything else so we know what we're looking at.
Great pic.

That is a nice jacket.
Wested's Novapelle is their best hide, I feel. It just has a great 'dusty' look to it.
Nice and soft, and the grain that gradually appears is very nice too.

The Hat is from John Penman
Obviously the jacket is a Wested Novapelle Raiders Jacket
The Shirt is a light colored newer Todd's shirt
I had the pants custom made by Magnoli, and have started a thread in the gear section over there regarding these pants. The cav twill wool is something I hand picked from La. Garment district
Aldens
Joe Strain 8 ft Raiders Anniversary roo whip.
I made the bag strap - a 7/8 inch one to be precise, and I made the holster and belt myself.

Fantastic jacket! In fact it all looks great, Jake! What did you do with the Aldens to get that colour, or are they the AB variety?
Re: Pic of my Raiders Wested Novapelle

They are just some Alden 405's I bought from the Alden shop in San Francisco, right when KOTCS came out. They have had Pecard's treatment on them a few times. Nothing special really.

Yes, but not anything like the pumpkin ones I've seen pictures of. The outdoor overcast lighting may have something to do with it

Re: Pic of my Raiders Wested Novapelle
THAT'S IT!!! THAT'S THE JACKET! I've been looking for just the right look in my Indy jacket and THAT'S IT!
Sorry, I need to calm down. That's just a great picture - really nice work. I have a Todd's Standard and a USW Vintage that are great, but just don't "complete me" ...I'd say they're the "99% solution". I've never considered getting a Wested. Maybe that's the answer . On second thought, probably not. I think I'll make it my goal to get one of every vendor's jacket...yeah, I like that. Now that's a goal to shoot for .
Congrats Jake! In the words of Big M: High Regards!!!
V/R,
DLJ
P.S. Better start saving for that TN!

How's the comfort and wearability? (As in SoCal in the summer?)

Re: Pic of my Raiders Wested Novapelle
No jacket is really comfortable here in the summer, especially with wool trousers. However I have a Disney Cooper, another cowhide Wested and this Wested Novapelle. The Wested Novapelle I find quite comfortable and wearable. Of all of the options I've seen, the Novapelle really works for me. I got lucky ordering this one. The other Wested cowhide, while an amazing jacket, is a little stiffer, and in makes noise when it moves. The Novapelle doesn't make any noise. How's the comfort and wearability? That jacket looks real sharp! Looks like it's been kicking around the globe for years and you wear it well!
