Question about ordering from Magnoli

Post by IndianaBogart »

Mods, if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it if you need to.

I'm wanting to order the Pankot bow tie from Magnoli, but I was just curious to hear from people who have ordered items from him as to the wait time, etc.
I'm assuming these are probably in stock and ready to ship, but how long is the shipping time to the US (east coast). Also, will there be customs fees as well?

Thanks,
-Bogart

I've ordered a shirt, two journals, a jacket, and a bag from him (all separately). Shipping (to the west coast or midwest) varies from one week to a little under 3. I've never needed to pay a customs fee either.

I can second Photoss' statement.

I ordered ready made items (journal, bowtie, scarf) on Dec 25th and they showed up in the middle of last week! So, about two weeks. No customs charges, either.

Thanks guys! That's good news.

Harry, I assume you ordered the Pankot tie? What do you think of it?

Thanks,

I own the Pankot tie and Jacket, and I assure you is the best you can find, speaking of quality and screen accuracy.

His things that are mass-produced such as neckties, bowties, & bags on in-stock & ready to ship. Made-to-measure items such as suits, shirts, pants & shoes take longer becasue they have to be made one at a time. For the bowtie, I would figure between 10 to 14 business days or two to three weeks.

I like the pattern, but it seems a little short length wise. I just extended it to the 18" mark, even though I have a 17" neck measurement.

Because it is cut vintage style, it took some fiddling with to get it looking right. I have had occasion to wear a tux many times in any given year, and I have no problems tying the bow tie for that, but my tux bow tie is a different shape.

I figure it needs a little "training", just wear it and break it in. :TOH:
