We're still making samples, looking for the right fit. I have six pairs of pleated front pants here, none of them are cut the same through the seat. This is a vital detail we want to get perfect to achieve the right drape.

In any other context, don't you think our eagerness to "see Todd's pants" would be just creepy ;)

Ok, as one who is also very "eager" I must say, keep up the good work Todd. Every detail I hear about you tweaking and correcting gets me more excited about the finished product. Take your time and keep working to get it right.

We will all be the beneficiaries and appreciate your craftsmanship indeed.

Cheers and happy new year!

Absolutely 100% Wool! Thats the only way to ensure the proper look. When we put on the garb thats what we all want in the end. Stick to your gut and go with 100% wool. If they had the weight and tight weave of WW2 Pinks that would be great! Those things can take a real beating.

Many US members never noticed it because the British population on this board adapted to call trousers pants, but they won't be telling their wives they have just purchased a pair of "pants" for £100

Rover smith, sorry for the off topic but, do you by chance own a Last Crusade jacket? I spotted one in Christmas time in Glasgow city center

No, I've got a Raiders. I've yet to see someone else in Glasgow with any Indy jacket. You should've let me know you were coming over, we could've gone for a drink.

Back on topic, Todds pants erm... trousers, cant wait to see them.

well just waiting on todd to perfect the best is a thing we can all appriecate, when he does have the pants available, will he then have the pants divided into raiders pants(trousers), temple of doom , or last crusade styles too? don't worry todd just messing with you but you know that will probably be the next thing we will want.

When Todd starts selling these, may I ask that customers sing this song?
(sung in the tone of "I've got a golden ticket")
I never thought my gear would be
anything but mediocrity
when suddenly I begin to see...more of Todds products for me...
cuz I've got a pair of Todd's pants
I've got a pair of pants to wear all day
And with a pair of Todd's pants it's an Indy dayyyyyy
GOODMORNING, LOOK AT THE GEAR!
Cuz they have said it coulden't be done (but it can be done)
I never thought that I would be, wanting this pair of pants for me
but suddenly half the gear is mine, what an amazing thing
cuz I got a pair of Todd's pants
And with a pair of Todd's pants it's and INNNNNDYYYYY DAYYYYYY!

Okay, here's the update:

We've been tweaking patterns for the last two months. We've made roughly 8 sample pairs, re-altering each one until they fell apart. I think we've got it and are doing our first trial in wool.

It's slow going because we are juggling so many things. Add to that the holidays and bad weather (I couldn't get to the office four days last week) and it just made things worse.

No predictions on dates - I have no idea. The unpredictable always happens.

Thanks for the patience!

So once Todd get's these rolling out, he will really be a 'one stop shop' for gearheads!
That's a good thing for those looking to put thier gear together quickly and affordably. The quality for the value is very impressive - my boots are still holding strong, very comfortable and as far as SA goes, just as good as Aldens and at a fraction of the price!

I totally agree Frosty. Now that I replaced my Wested Goat with a Todd Standard, my gear set is 100% Todd's. Like I said, moving to the same town has really cost me (but like TundraRider said, at least I save on shipping).

Once the pants come in, then I'll be done (aside from the Bapty revolver when that's in).

i was waiting until i got the whip to do my full gear shots, but now I kinda want to wait for the pants because my "close enoughs" are no longer close enough for my tastes.

ohhhh, my poor poor wallet

Technically, you can take a shot without pants at all and still be 100% screen accurate. Please don't do it though. [-o<

I'm going to copy a MBA swatch. It's darker than what Noel Howard used. I'll throw in a set of photo filters so you can see them in shades matching your favorite scenes. (Kidding! Kidding! No offense intended! I just couldn't resist! Sorry!)

Are you saying that MBA trousers were darker than the latest "NH" ones? (for who doesn't know Noel Howard produced and sold these trousers first as "MBA" and later by himself as "NH", same guy though)
I wasn't aware of a colour difference between the two. Is it consistently different? Just curious

Will there be a size 28 or 29 (preferably the latter)? I sometimes can wear a 30inch waist, but more typically I need a 29. I just find that often that size is difficult to find. 30 seems to be the starting size for most men's pants. My waist measures to a 30, but most 30s aren't true to size, I find.

28-29?? May I ask what age and gender are you? Those are extremely small sizes for an adult male. By the way if you get properly made trousers like i'm suere todd's will be, 30" should be true-size.
Oh and by the way, as I said before, I'm expecting size 33" to be available from Todd... screen accurate (and also my size hehe)
