My favorite fedora

Post by NoodlesBubblesBeans »

I have this officially licensed Indiana Jones fedora that I have rebashed, but the brim isn't quite the way I want it. I take this hat everywhere I go, and when I do, I always concentrate on the way the brim looks. It never looks the way I wantit. The hat has also faded a bit since I've worn it. Maybe It's just that an Officially licensed hat just isn't meant to be rebashed, or it's just that it's too flexible and won't hold it's shape. What should I do? I don't want to leave it at home and wear a new one, but I want a nicely colored Raiders fedora that has it's definitive shape to it. I don't have much money to be spending, and I can't find a job to get that money, so what should I do about my current fed.?

You might want to try wetting the brim with cold water and shaping it with your hands while it is on your head. With those DPs, though, there really isn't a lot that you can do. I reblocked one and it took on a nice shape, but it shrunk up a lot. I do not recommend using steam on your DP. Just work it with your hands and use a little bit of cold water if it is really stubborn.

thank you, I actually just did that. I can never go for that Raiders style brim though, so I decide for the Raiders bash with the LC style brim. Hopefully it retains its shape. I'm glad that I never used steam!
