Useful source for tailor made pants in UK.
Hi gang,
one or two pics of these trousers have been seen on another thread but I thought i'd post some further details and information on them.
As some of you know, i'm a big Magnoli fan but I just thought i'd try this UK based tailoring service.
A list of specs were sent to "Winebergs" of Leeds and after about three weeks these arrived.
The measurements and specs are very precise to my order.
The colour is "fawn" (swatch seen on the left).
I know it's not exactly SA but for convenience I had them made with a zip fly.
Regarding cost, they're about the same as Magnoli's pure wool adventure pants.
Cheers,
JTW.
(Yes it's true, I have nothing better to do on a Saturday night than take pictures of my trousers!)

JTW I was looking at the Wienbergs site a while ago, is that the way they do their 'Guardsman's Hem' which I assumed was their name for a military hem.

Not bad! I've used one of the Thailand based on-line tailors for suits and stuff over the years. They can copy anything obviously and I've always found them to be very good www.ravistailor.com

Hi Kt,
That would be my guess but I don't recall that specific term.
I just sent them a very detailed list of requirements, to the finest detail regarding pocket flap & hems, photo's, diagrams etc.
Did you have the swatches sent to you?
They can provide 100% wool cav twill as well as a medium weight version.

I didn't get as far as asking for swatches.
These look good, the 'volume' in the pleats looks right and the rest of the pants look good.
I guess the flaps themselves could have been a little tidier but it's first go for them and I suppose there is a bit of a learning curve. (No pun intended).
How do you feel about the colour?

Not being a "Raiders" expert, it's difficult to say just how SA the colour is.Kt Templar wrote:I didn't get as far as asking for swatches.

There was a previous thread showing some screen used ROLA pants and they do look very similar to these.
In some scenes HF's do look a shade darker.
I believe this pic is courtesy of your good self?
Thanks buddy,Satipo wrote:They look great, JTW! What's the damage?
They cost £90, which (at the time) was roughly the same as Magnoli's pure wool.
Cheers,

I hear you there Jones and at the time of writing i believe the X factor was peaking also. Those reality TV shows are heart breakingly poor. Id be interested if they were doing a search for the next Indy. hey maybe we could apply for that one lol.jones the whip wrote:It was either that or "Strictly Come Dancing"!!!mrkaboom wrote:
