I believe Steve Delk only reblocks AB's these days. But if I were you I would drop John Penman a line... he might be able to help you out. If your hat really is a 100% beaver fedora he should have no problem reblocking it for you.

Well, the corner you're in is this: If you want the CS block, you will be limited to AB, ABD, or Penman. If you just want it blocked close enough, open crowned, so you can reshape it more like a CS hat, you could try Optimo in Chicago. Just be clear what you want. You could also see if Peter Brothers does reblocks.

The other corner you're in: Price on a reblock is fairly consistent across the reputable vendors.

Keep in mind a full reblock and servicing, as you are after, takes pretty much the same amount of time and effort that goes into assembling a brand new hat, especially if you are after a new sweat, liner, and ribbon, to boot. Most of the professional hatters around here need to charge appropriately for their time and materials, otherwise it's not really worth their time and bottom line compared to all the new hats they need to produce. You may find someone willing to do or attempt an inexpensive job of it, but expect the professionals to charge accordingly.

John's reblock prices vary depending on what needs to be done. When I had him reblock my Penman Raiders on his new Raiders block, I believe it was $40. Replacing everything but the felt is more costly, though. And he would have to repounce the hat and age it. These things cost money. Its worth it if you really want to keep the hat. If you have my head measurement, though, I can reblock it for you.

Just so everyone is clear. I have my own CS block but not ''THE CS block." Only Steve and Marc has them.

I might have the time chopped down for re-block very soon.

Sorry about that, Oak. I should have been clearer. I meant that you have a CS block, while others do not.
