Other Wested Jackets

Post by morgan »

I know this is slightly off topic but I was wondering what other Jackets from Wested you guys have?

I was looking through the Wested webpage and saw the Minority Report jacket, I think it looks pretty good, I'm seriously thinking of getting one, and the Lethal Weapon jacket looks good too. What do you guys think?

From what I've read on another forum, the Lethal Weapon jacket is a bit inaccurate. But the person who pointed out the errors to Peter, also helped him fix the patterns, so I don't know if it's been fixed.

I like the Mission Impossible 2 jacket. But I think I've spent enough on jackets this year and maybe next year.

I'd like to get the Lethal Weapon IV jacket made out of goatskin.
That'd be pretty cool.

Or what about the 'Tomorrow Never Dies" jacket - if you look in the film you see they've distressed it too.

For the most part it was pretty accurate, the stripes needed to come down more on the outside of the sleeves, and they forgot the oval snap collar peice. I sent it back to have them put in the collar peice, and build in a taper, and shorten it, (both things they forgot to do the first time) and it came back too short. I didnt want to send it back again, so I sold it. But all in all it was great Wested! It just needs a few changes to make it screen accurate.

-Storm flap underneath
-Oval collar snap peice
- side adjustment BUCKLES
-smaller guage wrist zips 5" long
-Main, and wrist zips black

Thats all I can think of now....

I'm eyeing the 007 jacket now. My Indy jacket is my fav, but it's a little casual--just like it's supposed to be. I was thinking that the Bond jacket would be a little more formal AND be warm for our Canadian winters.

I'm really really really looking forward to the Rocketeer jacket.

Any more word on this?

If you email Wested about the Rocketeer jacket, they'll add you to their 'interested' list. That's what I did, at least

Wested referred me to www.rocketbobs.com, which doesn't have anything on it. Just a big "Coming Soon".

Grey stripes!! Mine was in goat and I asked for "off white or gray stripes" and I was told they could not do it....

Thats good they can now, I think it looks better if the stripes arent starch white!
