Angels Military Uniform Sale - Saturday, 28th November 2009

Post by Satipo »

Angels The Costumier is having a sale of their military stuff. According to an article on page 44 of today's Metro, "it includes clothes, props and equipment from legendary films including The Great Escape, The Guns of Navarone, Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan" as well as TV series, Dad's Army and Band of Brothers. Prices range from £5 to £20.

Taken from their website:

"We are having a sale of some of Angel's vast stock of both military and civil uniform items, selling a huge quantity of uniform clothing, helmets and headgear and leather and webbing equipment, all at low prices."

I'm willing to bet there'll be some MK VIIs in there somewhere, perhaps even a screen-used Indy bag ...

The sale will be at Courtenay Road, Wembley and will start at 8.30am with a £5 entrance fee.

Well, I posted it here because there's a very good chance of picking up MK VIIs at this sale, which come under General Gear, but obviously the moderators can make the final call.

It would be nice to see a catalog of what they are selling.
I guess they don't anticipate supporting many military movies in the future.

Could be. I also think it's a result of scaling back on the number of supporting artistes required in productions when CGI can be used to help populate scenes.

Unfortunately, I'll have to miss out on this one myself, as I've just had a job change from Sunday to Saturday.

Angels supplied the German uniforms, equipment for both Raiders and LC. not to mention the fezs for the grail brotherhood and the other uniforms, equipment for LC. Also Brit. and Indian uniforms for ToD ](*,)

Someone with a sharp eye and photographic memory is gotta find something Indy in all those boxes! =P~
