And the bag is Belstaff: that's a nice one.
I think it's the first time I see an Indy jacket looking so cool zipped all the way up.
Looks great.

All raiders wested
1) goat 2008
2) lamb 2009
3) horse 2008

3 of too many

I know wested has lost some of its prestige in the last months.
Yet I always got what I ask from them
each jacket was (is ?) an exciting step taking me closer to my precious ring.

My quest never was a movie jacket but began with a photo I came across on this board couple of years ago
Unfortunatly I didn't keep any record of its nature. I suppose its goat ?

this jacket is lambskin. this is an vintage wested from the late 90's. its cut fro the old lambskin peter used to have. to bad he doesnt hold that skin anymore becaseu I love the look of it.

Thank you very much Holt
You never failed to be so helpfull with all of us.
despite the number of gorgeous Jackets born in the USA recently
I still reckon your raiders goat as the very best I've seen on the board.
I know you were comparing it to some kind of thick lamb, probably close the pic above,
nevertheless your next jacket is to be lamb ?

I thought the old lambskin Wested used is the same as the current dark brown lambskin, which only took that name when they introduced authentic brown lambskin to differentiate the two. Am I wrong? :-k

Thanks crismans , and now I'm getting less shy

here my first Horse

Imo those large and short jackets don't fit slender people.

Futhermore in Bretagne (western France) the climate hardly ever permit an Indyfan to wear anything but a TOD

Therefore that one is in the Cairo bazar

I'll stop for now 6 pics

your wrong. the current dark lambskin comes from italy. its called italian lambskin.

the old one was english lambskin.

Used to, you could only get one type of leather, this English lamb. Now there are more leathers than you can shake your torch at. Be careful, the whip is not a snake. :P

Looks fantastic!!! Are you going to distress it at all? Or just let it age naturally? Either way, great looking jacket! Thanks for sharing!

Most of us nowadays turned into collectors due to the effective drop of the prices
and we are unable to naturaly distress our numerous jackets.
Artificial distressing is hardly ever convincing
If predistressed hides have been for decades desappointing
I think that the light treatment of novapella and especially
The washed goat is just amazing
Time will tell how they turn out
But I cant imagine my w.g. not surviving me

I couldt agree more. we all should actually have just one jacket or two at the most to do just about everything in it. just like they did in the WW. thats when you get the real natural distressing. and I for one love the look of almost each and every jacket from that time period.

Holt , I think sitting a cockpit while bullets, cockpit plexiglass shards and fusilage fragments 'naturally distress' your jacket before ditching over water 'for a good soak' is taking the natural distressing a little far even for you............ :Plymouth:

Cyrano

What is the pocket size on the 4th jacket photo from the top? It looks like it is in perfect proportion to the size of your jacket.
