Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
I just received this jacket today (after using the very generous $100 COW discount off of the already sale price) and I absolutely love it. I was wanting a jacket with the distressed look of CS, and this was perfect. The construction is top notch and even though this jacket is heavier than my lambs, it is extremely comfy. Not to mention all the freebies Wings threw in as well. Yeah, I know that ;0 but just look at their site and you'll see what I have. It really is a fantastic jacket! And I should say the US Wings was absolutely tops with their customer service.
Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow

Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
Alright. I took this one really quick...the jacket just came out of the box...so I haven't even had to chance to mess with it. I so love this thing. I want to sleep in it. Don't mind the beard...I'm a professional Santa Claus so I'm just getting ready for the season. As soon as Christmas is over, the beard comes off and I magically become about 20 years younger! Wonder if Wings would make me a red leather Indy jacket for my Santa gigs?

Nice jacket, Cory! You've got the Indy blues vibe goin' on there! Good transition to Santa.

Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
Thanks all. Yeah, the Santa thing is bittersweet. I love playing the old guy for the little kids, and in all honesty the pay is ridiculously good, but I hate the fact that a woman today thought my 6 year old was my grandson. I'm only 38!!! Just wait until I bleach it. Then I'll probably be a great grandpa.
Anyway, the jacket is all I was wanting in a jacket. I'm not a big s.a. guy, so what I wanted was a heavier cowhide, distressed, tough Indy-looking jacket, and I think I got it. My other jackets are a Todd's standard, and a Wested lamb. Love'em both, but come this winter, I'm wearing my Wings.

Look awesome Vader! Where do you play Santa...Richland, Pasco or Kennewick? (I'm from Spokane and work takes me there often) I guess you will be easy to spot. You will be the only santa in a Leather jacket
Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
you know what. SA or not. this looks like one heck of jacket that will last you a lifetime.
if the length ended up at 25.5'' or 26'' I would have one myself without a doubt!!

Great jacket. Their best, in my opinion.
The beard suits you, too.

Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
Thanks again everyone. I'm playing Santa at Beaver Bark in Richland (which is an incredible place at Christmas...one of the best stores I've ever seen). Last year I was at the mall, and I just don't have the time this year.
So, I've worn this jacket all day, and I just love it more and more. I'll definitely get some pics this year with a weird mix of Indy and Santa, and then let all of you go to town with 'em.

You could have the back length shortened though. They really are stout jackets.
Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
i also have the CS limited edition ,as you said it is a great tough jacket and as mentioned is a tad too long for a SA length - this did bug me at first but now doesn't bother me - yours however from your pic appears shorter and more SA .

Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
In case you weren't aware, the cowhide used in the CE jackets is exactly the same leather as sourced by Tony Nowak for his CS jackets, so you KNOW it's a great leather that will go the distance.
VERY nice choice, and you wear it well!!
HIGH regard! Michaelson

Wow, Michaelson, I didn't know that. The thing I haven't mentioned is how soft this leather is. It's tough, but soft as butter.
Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
the back of my CE size L is 26.5 .. thought it was 26.. I'm sure it would shrink a little with some waterRCSignals wrote:yeah I think they are all 27 or 27.5" lenghthIndiana Holt wrote:you know what. SA or not. this looks like one heck of jacket that will last you a lifetime.

looks great Vader!
Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
Has to be the nicest Wings jacket I've seen shown here. Can't wait to see some pics of how it looks after it's been worn-in a while.
Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
Hope you like it as much as I dig the G&B that just showed up on my front porch!

Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
It would be interesting to see a G&B Exp. in vintage cow, but they do not make one.

Wife even likes it, and now I can even tell her that Santa gave it to me.

Re: Collector's Edition US Wings Vintage Cow
Great looking jacket! I just received one too, but haven't yet worn it yet aside from trying it on. It fits great.
Did you get the limited edition mustard cotton lining or the regular nylon?
I had asked for the cotton lining but got the nylon. I didn't make a fuss though. It's not that important to me and after thinking about it, the nylon might actually be better and longer-lasting. US Wings say they discontinued the cotton lining but may still have some in stock.

I have the nylon. Boy, that is some substantial lining too. Fits with the rest of the jacket.
