This holster was handmade using 7-8 oz Hermann Oak tanned leather. The main seam is hand sewn with linen thread at 8 stiches per inch. All edges are burnished by hand to a smooth finish. After molding, the holster recieves a finish of olive oil and neatsfoot oil. There is no dye used, so the color will not rub off.The piece is then sun dried to a more screen-accurate appearence. This holster was handmade by Jake, who's film credits include "The Quick and the Dead", "Wild Bill", "Dead Man", "Wild Wild West" and "Hidalgo".

I sun dried mine for about 3 hours to even the finish. Now, for a darker appearence, I would have to leave it out again but I like the dark brown tones which contrast with the light brown hue of the holster.
Built like a tank, very sturdy and solid, the holster can take a beating. Complete with the SA double groove lines along the edge of the overflap and a brass button snap which is large, unlike the NH and todds so it can secure that flap into place. The back is stamped with Jake Johnson's moniker.
The hue of the holster is very hard to photograph but here are some shots...

Shown with my Wade Egan Raiders gunbelt (which goes so perfectly with this holster and Wade makes the ultra SA belts in the market today) For more pics of the Wade gunbelt, check the general gear section..
The fit and wear (sorry for the non SA clothing, give me a break, I just got home from work!)

(In mirror, so its reversed as this is a right handed holster)
Jake will offer these at the Summit and I suggest that you snap these up quick. The price, I believe, is $125, which is expensive but once you got this holster in your hands, you will know where that extra money went!
