non of them.
both are good for CS not LC.
the best for a super SA LC look is auth.br lambskin.

Tony Nowak........end of story.
Re: Wested copper novapelle or just novapelle?
yeah,.... but he is wondering about wested's skin.
Re: Wested copper novapelle or just novapelle?
If you want a thicker leather then lambskin? I would ask for 'analine cowhide'
its new and is way better for a LC then NP or CNP
it reminds of the leather on this original LC jacket. but its almost complelty dull, very little shine in it.

Definitely, here's knibs7's thread for reference (although I'm sure you've seen it).Indiana Holt wrote: the best for a super SA LC look is auth.br lambskin.

Is it really that simple if you can't pop into Tony's shop to get measured?PSBIndy wrote:Tony Nowak........end of story.
Plus I could get three Westeds for the price of a TN.... Maybe more by the time I've paid import taxes...
That NP looks pretty good there TK!
Re: Wested copper novapelle or just novapelle?
i have a wested 'horsehide' (minus the LC distressing) and once broken in is a great tough leather for a last crusade .

Yes, but with a Wested, it's a "roll of the dice" as far as getting exactly what you want.
TN's are perfect from the first day you take it out of the box. It's worth every penny.

Actually, IIRC Tony doesn't take your measurements, you have to provide them for him.

actually....when I see this Kt I can say this is very nice. all of the other NP I have seen are much lighter in color, pecards or no pecards on it.
and it has a slight shine to it.
does peter still have this dark NP you have?

Re: Wested copper novapelle or just novapelle?
I don't know that this is any different than the one he sells now. As I've worn it more the brown undertones seem to have developed and Pecards have given the surface that slight shine. It has a sort if deepening effect on the finish, a bit like varnish on wood... obviously not making it go all hard, just makes the velvety finish go away!

Whilst I don't wish to go sailing off topic.... It's like someone asking what Ford shall I buy, and getting the reply 'you should get a Ferrari instead!'. The TN may be lovely jackets but they are not in same ball park on price. I'm no lover of Westeds and I'd sooner go for either one of Todds (which I loved) or Magnolis (which I'm waiting for). At least those are similar in price to the Wested. If you can all afford a TN then good for you, but I'm guessing that many people here can't. If it were just about throwing money getting the best gear assembled would be a doddle wouldn't it?

Re: Wested copper novapelle or just novapelle?
KT show in his pic the same Novapelle of my jacket. So I think this is the normal Novapelle: various light brown undertones with an overall dark brown look and a little shine. It's all about light, as usual.Indiana Holt wrote:

This is my custom LC Novapelle jacket: CLICK HERE!
It look darker than the KT one but I assure you that in real life it's of the same color. Now I have distressed it a bit and I have to put a layer or two of Pecard.
I think that Novapelle was a beautiful leather. But, as Holt said, it have a "heavy" CS look. Excellent if you want a little CS style pre-distressed good looking jacket just out of the box.
But I think that the only way to obtain a very accurate and beautiful LC jacket is to order a Wested in authentic brown lambskin and distress it like knibs7 did (the distress is extremely important in a LC jacket). In other way, if you can afford it, you can order one to Tony Nowak and have a LC movie accurate, beautiful, pre-distressed jacket just out of the box.

Your Novapelle look like have a yellow tone in it. My distressed parts of the jacket look like more red. Strange...
Have you soaked your jacket with water? Expecially the collar look like very soft and break; mine was a little stiff and "straight".
Re: Wested copper novapelle or just novapelle?
Nice color on that Novapelle, KT.
I almost pulled the trigger (put down the hammer, bit the bullet ) on a Novapelle once.

Thankyou BazzanoJones . Yes, I put a small amount of water on the collar and scrunched it up a bit.

"Afford a TN'? There are many people here who have saved, sold things, to get their TN jacket, not simplt opened their wallet.
It's odd how many people think nothing of the much higher prices of other jackets, even own them, but for some reason the same people complain about the price of a TN jacket. Value is not always in the lowest price.
