Re: More pics of my Uptowner
Looks good! I am liking the Uptowner. How does it feel, like it could take an adventure?
Good Errol Flynn poster in the background too...

Yes it feels quite substantial. I like it - I actually prefer it to my old Magnoli HJ

Thou hast uttered heresy, methinks.djd wrote:Yes it feels quite substantial. I like it - I actually prefer it to my old Magnoli HJ
Re: More pics of my Uptowner
Probably I just think this one suits me a bit more. I'm waiting on a Henry too so it will be good to see them side by side
Re: More pics of my Uptowner
I was just giving out a little good-natured ribbing, and not to you. Looks like a really nice hat, indeed. Smooth and luxurious-looking. Very nice color and block-shape - very Indy! Looks like Todd has a real winner.djd wrote:Probably I just think this one suits me a bit more. I'm waiting on a Henry too so it will be good to see them side by side

It's ok I can take it! Yes it's a good hat for the cashjasonalun wrote:I was just giving out a little good-natured ribbing, and not to you. Looks like a really nice hat, indeed. LOL- yes I'll try and get some better ones at weekend. The sides are a lot straighter in reality- it's a pretty good Raiders shape I'd say. Todd -as usual - has come up trumps
Yes- I'm a big fan of Flynn- used to have a huge collection of original posters and signed stuff. Flynn, Cary Grant and Bogart are hard to beat IMHOwhipcracker wrote:

Re: More pics of my Uptowner
the uptowner is a great hat! i love wearing mine ---i have been wearing mine more than my downtowner cause it feels and looks so much softer , not that im putting down the downtowner ,( lol--- pun) i lthink todds hats are the best thing going for the prices , and i will have to try that way of taking the pic from far away and pulling in for a close up
Re: More pics of my Uptowner
Looks like my Henry will be with me tomorrow so will be able to do a direct comparison....
Re: More pics of my Uptowner
I really like it. makes me wanna order one.

Re: More pics of my Uptowner
Todd's ribbons aren't QUITE right, but it a great looking hat I think.
Re: More pics of my Uptowner
I think that's just the lighting / flash. I can't see any hint of green otherwise. Just looks dark brown- maybe a bit too shiney but not a bad colourIndiana Holt wrote:I really like it. makes me wanna order one.

Re: More pics of my Uptowner
Well, credit where credit is due:
That IS a snappy hat on you, djd... but it bears mentioning: You've definitely got the look for it.
You're a guy who quite simply has a good face for a hat like that.
Kudos.
