What in the world? Yeah it true I was trying to compete with Adam Winrich on target cutting. I only got him in 1 event. But he is so competitive that he won Grand Champion! Hey this guy can crack a whip.
All this took place at the DFW Whip Weekend X. Too bad it was raining, I was about to school him on the timed 9ft target line. But hey Adam there is always next year.
I am hoping to get some pictures up and I got a few videos to put up on youtube.

Yeah, the competition was tough. For those of you that don't know, the main part of this whip competition involves targeting from different distances, namely 9 ft, 14 ft, and 25 ft. This way you have to use longer and longer whips. In one part of the competition, they see how fast you can hit all the targets from each distance. Gus usually wins at the 9 ft line, though this year I lucked out and won.
I should also note that bob2004 really has to plan to come to this event next year. I know he'll have the time of his life.
I got to see some of Gus's latest whips, and I think he's making some really nice cowhide whips nowadays. I cracked a few of them and though they cracked really nice. On a couple of his Indy whips he got the diamond patterns on the handles really smooth. He's doing some good work, and it's value for the money.
The next whip weekend will be next year about this time. You can bring your own whips, though there are a lot of whips to go around, so you could do all the events with other people's whips if you wanted.
Yes you must come out and compete with us. Yo Adam I am already putting in to have that weekend off. Hoping that I can get it off for sure you can stay at my house. Talk whip work on some whips. Either way it's all about the fun of it. Lol
But hey Adam there is always next year.
