Which Wested????

Post by djd »

Weeeelllllll....... I've been away from these boards and the Indy thing for a long while (I guess I'm only just getting over the disapointment of Indy IV). I'm looking to get a new jacket fom Wested and they seem to be offering a lot of different choice than there was 18 months ago. I was thinking of the washed goat ROLA? I'm looking for something that fairly screen accurate at a good price. Grateful of any advice :-k

How about a Holt special?

I had a Washed Goat Wested ROLA/Raiders but returned it because of the long black goat's "spine" mark down the back that resembled a sweat mark.

Yes Holts looks nice - I like the collar. :TOH:

Which of the off-the-peg Wested's is best though?

I'm expecting delivery of a Washed Goat ROLA this week (fingers crossed) [-o<

I'll post pics and give a review as soon as it hits my doorstep.

Personally I own an "off-the-rack" ROTLA style in horsehide. It's very durable, somewhat SA and feels like something Indy would wear in real life. I also think it has broken in nicely. I've had it about a year and it's become softer and softer.

There is a picutre here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=36102 from when it was very new. It's quite dark, but I like that.

I hope you find the right one.
