Well, for me it looks like a perfect fit. Maybe you show us a picture from the front, so we can see more angles of it.

As for this perspective, I don't see, why this hat should be too big for you.

Looks fine to me. It's not sitting on your ears and you have all the "correct" angles/arc front-back-top. Does it feel too big? Is it resting on top of your head or slide around when you wear it?

I think you've got this feeling because of your receding chin. like zach braff's chin, ya know?

I kinda see what you mean, Holt. I think it's because your crown is a bit too high in the back. Of course this totally depends on what look you're going for.

I think it looks fine. The hat is proportioned to your head just right.

From the front it looks also ok. I go with Bullitt und would suggest to bash it deeper at the back, if it looks to big for you.

I think the crown looks a touch too big in relation to your face from both the side and front perspective.

I think it works! However if you are unsure, do what you do best and tweak until you no longer need to ask if it looks right. You have a better eye for this then most. The non tapered sides contour well with your jawline. It looks like a natural fit.

Wow, talk about picky. I think that hat looks great from the front and sides look good IMO. But really it is just an opinion, it is up to the person wearing the hat to decide how it looks, its good to get opinions, but really it all comes down to how it looks on you in person.

The hat in itself looks really good. On your face it looks a bit big (tall is what I mean really). That's my honest opinion. I understand your worryings because I've often wondered the same on a few hats of mine.
If you have doubts... you're probably right.

My first thought was bash it lower at the back.

Also, what type of jacket is that? Looks great.

Hmmm. I'm not sure what look you're going for... you tend to be more of a Last Crusade kind of guy. In that case it is a bit large from both the front and side.

However, I think it's just about perfect for a Raiders look. I think the proportions are correct from both the front and the side. It's my favorite hat bash of all the movies and I think your right on target with that.

no,no,no..Im not a LC guy.. Im raiders all the way with the hat. havent you seen my fed4 streets of cairo?. its sits perfect on my head and it fits my face they way it should. this hat here is just a tad bigger then the fed and thats why I wanted to hear what YOU guys thought of it. but it stops there...Im not exactly seeking any advice kinda guy when it comes to stuff like this...

the jacket is my 'Holt' raiders I got last year.

I think part of the problem is ......you said is it to big , when you might have meant Does it look to tall from the side.

I agree it looks a tad to tall from both the side and front.

I agree that it appears from the side photo to be a bit big, as if it were a long oval size. I attached a couple images of what you might be able to do to improve the side view a little, but I think I already know why you haven't, having had the same "war" myself compromising one view to get a better bash from another angle. For example, if you lower the rear center dent more the hat will look more tapered from front view. I've had that battle with an older model of Federation. I also noted that it's too bad that due to what I assume is the block shape, that the "reverse taper" is only found on the front of the hat and not on the rear where it should be. If it were me I probably would be very careful with more tinkering since it looks literally perfect from front view.
