I'm looking for a screen-accurate shirt and see that Wested seems to be the place to buy the closest thing. I'm ready to place the order but don't see anywhere on the site that offers sizing information. So, I don't know whether these shirts run small or true-to-size.
Specifically, I normally wear an XL in most shirts but occasionally need a XXL. Should I order a XXL for this shirt as well? Anyone whose bought one from Wested know if they run true-to-size or a bit small?
Thanks in advance,
Tony

Re: Wested shirt sizes?
Hey Tony,
I think that your best bet would be to look at the Adventurebilt shirt, or Todd's Costumes shirt. They can both provide the measurements of their shirts (Todds on his site, AB by email request or Search Function here) and they are much better then the Wested shirt. The AB colour is spot on to Raiders, while the Todd's is slightly slightly off in colour, but they both have solid SA details on them. I wear my Todds on hikes all the time, and everything else, same with my AB. I'd checked into those before pulling the trigger on a Wested shirt.

Yes, I agree with Exit. I bought a Wested and then sold it on eBay. It isn't even close to screen accurate. I have two Adventurebilt (AB) shirts and they are very SA!
Re: Wested shirt sizes?
Unfortunately Kim (at AdventureBilt) says that they are currently only stocking XLs and that the shirts are "slim fit", so I suspect I'd need an XXL....which they don't have in stock.
I received a package of accessories from Todd's today and the leather goods look nice. I was a little disappointed in the whip-holder (it's got velcro) and the gloves are a bit thin for the price.....but overall, I liked their service. I'd be willing to see what their shirt is like.
I wish I could go back and change the title of this thread, now. Any comments on the Todd's shirt in terms of durability, thickness, and the sizing?
Thanks!

Re: Wested shirt sizes?
Hey there,
warning...if you buy a Wested shirt be aware that they come up big.
I ordered a small and even then it needed to be extensively altered (I am 5.11 of average build).
IMO- the Wested is a nice color and texture although the cloth is a little thin.
My advice to anyone for the 'fitting' is to go for http://www.Magnoliclothiers.com (adventure Shirt) as you can't beat made to measure, the choice of shades is impressive and the quality/thickness of the fabric is much better.
