Thanks Mola for the compliments.
It's kind of hard to stop what I am doing. It's a fulltime job. The orders come in so fast, I am never caught up. I was a bit surprised by the order for a pair of 8s. What made it more unusual was that it was for a lady.
I cannot even think if time when I'd make a nylon. I suppose I could advertise them and then take orders for them, but I really like working with kangaroo as I say in my signature.
I have been wanting a pair of nylon bullwhips by Steve Koliski of 21st Century Whips. I saw a pair that Riz (of Tampa) had in Dallas. They handled really nice, and I liked the neon color. They would look very good under a black light in a show. Only thing I wanted to change was the handle length. When working two whips in a freestyle routine like I do, I prefer a longer handle (about 16").
What I don't see among whipmakers is switching from roo to nylon. Usually once you are a nylon whipmaker, forever you will be and likewise with kangaroo. I don't know of one whipmaker that switches between the two. I love making kangaroo bullwhips with a passion!

Where'd they go?
Hi Robert: I went to both sites and came up with a page cannot be displayed screen. Has something crashed or could it be just my server. I would really like to see your handiwork.
Warm Regards

Robert,
Tim bass makes nylon and leather whips and does
a good job at bolth. I love making leather whips
and nylon whips. Nylon has a use anytime, any
season in water & snow use. But it cant be made larger
and if its cut you cant really undo the cut if you made a mistake.
Leather can me made diffrent sizes and have diffrent things done to it.
Both materials are great and i love making whips with each material.
I understand what you mean by switching back and forth and such.
I dont have enough time & money to make leather whips that often,
so thats why i started using nylon most of the time. I can make a nylon whip in 2 school weeks but a leather whip in a school month. And on vacation i can make a nylon whip in 2 days and a leather thong for
a stockwhip in a week. School takes up lots of time and nylon is
just easier to use in my limited time.
