verrrry distressed gloves

Post by enigmata_wood »

This is one way to get that dusty, stone-worn look to your gloves: dust and stone-wear!
I used them as garden gloves for a year. Then I used them to mix a small batch of cement by hand. After they had dried out I rubbed off any loose cement flakes.

Wow... That IS broken in! They look like the wrong type of gloves, but what the heck... "close enough."

you're right, they're not SA gloves but a similar pair I used to test the idea on. My more SA gloves are now taking over in the garden!

LOL...

Well, I agree that yard work does break in gloves pretty quickly. I chose to wear mine during workouts and some heavy lifting of stuff in and outside. I didn't want them to get muddy, but broken in and lightly dirty.

I may just buy another pair and go straight for hand mixing cement to see how that looks

I like this style of distressing them, over the ideas where you use chemicals and never use your back and work with them on.

I agree. it's more in the Indy spirit; authentic look from authentic use.
