Has Wested fallen off the map?

Post by BendingOak »

Hi, guys and dolls. I have been trying to contact Wested for a couple of weeks and have yet to get a reply. Anyone got an idea why they are not? Are they shut down for holiday maybe?

I've e-mailed them with questions a few times in the last two weeks, both gemma@wested.com and wested@wested.com, and gotten no reply. I assumed my company's firewall was the problem, but now I'm not so sure.....

Oak,
I'm sure you know this but have you tried to call them? Sometime I have better luck reaching them over the phone. I know it none of my business but what you buying? If you don't mind me asking.

Last year, Gemma took awhile to get back to me. After a couple of weeks, I wrote again, and she responded with little info, but I ordered the jacket I was interested in anyway. I have a ROTLA Lambskin and an LC Washed Goat. They are great jackets OTR for the money, but the staff there aren't the best communicators.

If it helps, I emailed Wested this morning from work at 11am eastern time, and received responses back within 5 minutes.

Sounds like my experience when it comes to emailing Fedora, I think it's purely a spam blocker issue, I always get a reply back from Wested, without variation, and never from Steve, the only thing that would seem to make sense is that they are not seeing your emails.

I think that bigrex is probably right. I never had any trouble getting a response from them in the past.

I placed my order for my Wested last night around 8:00pm CST and Gemma replied personally at 11:00am CST today. Pretty darn good response time in my opinion.

This was from my personal e-mail account, not my work account, so I circumvented the SPAM filters.

Now I can't WAIT to get my jacket!!!

Well, I've received no replies at all from Peter at the wested.com email address, nor his personal address, and they've been sent from both home and work email accounts, and as recently as this past weekend...so I give up.

Good luck!

There was a slight change to my order and Gemma replied back the next day, very promptly. My order is in being processed. I now have to keep myself distracted so the waiting doesn't drive me batty.

Be sure to double check on your change. I ordered in one leather, switched leathers three days later (and got confirmation that the change had been made), and got the jacket three months later in the first leather.

Always call to make sure the change was accepted and noted. I had to do that with my silver zip and snaps, and called to confirm that that was acceptable, and she said yes, made the change, and confirmed and it came with silver zip and snaps. Calling Wested is key, way better then email. They are very polite to deal with on the phone.
