I have finished my stock whip and have some pictures of me cracking it, and of the finished product its self .
I would like to thank all of you who helped me with the problems I had, and for answering all my questions. I have learned allot off this whip and cant wait to start another one . Hopefully this is the start of a long career of whip making and the first of many whips . This is NO where near perfect and a long way from being good . The Turks knot has a few gaps at the bottom but I think I know how to keep it from getting those in the future . When you pro whip makers see this whip you probably be sick but I’m very proud of this whip
Again thank yawl for your help. Enjoy the picks

Re: Finished my whip .
Nope not an Indy sound track but Man From Snowy River and The song used for the Drovers Theme in Australia ( No Man Hires Me No Man Fires Me ) They sound realy good by them selvs but the sound of a crack in the back ground makes them 1000 times better
Thanks for the Compliment Michael .
I'm up for instructive criticism too if any one want to give some.

Thank you Mr. Jim. I am Proud of my self .
I did find something out though. When I was working with Turks knot It keep getting allot of kinks . So I trimmed the lace down and made the leather wrap that goes around the tip, smaller. That was a mistake . When I tightened the strands I ended up having too much room instead of not enough. I think if I Had Left it alone it would have come out even . Because of this The knot has gaps , wont get as tight as it needs to be and is smaller than it should be. So now I know that if you have kinks and over lapping it will straighten out when you tighten it , I think. Never done a perfect one but this is just my observation

Re: Finished my whip .
Caber, you will learn with the more whips you make what size strand you need to use based on your knot foundation, the number of passes and bites of the knot your tying. Keep it up, your doing good.
