Demon Roll

Post by JRabbit »

I've seen the term "Demon Roll" mentioned in reference to the way the Wested zipper looks since there's no leather facing on the inside of the jacket. Can someone post a picture of what this "Demon Roll" looks like?

Thanks.

look at the movie. its the curl in the zipper on the left side that makes the lining show.

you see this in many scenes.

Go to the 'search' button and type in 'demon roll' in the subject title, then click on 'jacket section'. I did that to see what came up and had over 100+ hits discussing this item. Surely there's a photo in one of those threads. :-k

My two centavos: I don't think there's anything wrong with the "demon roll". It makes the jacket look well worn. It happens to A-2s all the time.

Sure, it looks great as long as the jacket is zipped, but it's a pain in the posterior when the jacket is UN-zipped. It rolls the jacket inside out on that side. :M:

I've had them on the left hand side as well, so it's not just confined to the right hand side.

That's right, but it can be either side.
I've experienced it more with the storm flap side myself.
