MY RENEWED TONY NOWAK JACKET W/ REVIEW

Here are PICS of my RENEWED TN CRYSTAL SKULL jacket.

I bought it in May of 08. It is sized to HF SPECS. I had never liked the stitched writing in the jacket and had always wanted it to be plain like the HERO jacket. When I first ordered it I got the impression you didn't have a choice about that. In December the zipper pull broke. I talked to Tony in May about getting these issues fixed. I sent it in and just got it back the other day. He did a FANTASTIC JOB.   He replaced the broken zipper pull, replaced the lining near the pocket , and removed the leather TN patch on the back. Now it looks like the HERO JACKET. Everything that COW has said about him is true. He is great to talk to and had no problem making it like I wanted. He stands behind his product. He didn't charge me a thing to do this , which I would have been more than happy to pay for, which shows what a TOPNOTCH GUY he is. He didn't have to do this. I just can't say enough about him. Thanks alot Tony. \:D/

I must say that I really enjoy the jacket without all the stitching and Tony's tag (not knocking it, just like the plain Jane effect). Great looking jacket. Enjoy it even more now! Seeing his great work, makes me want to get a TN Raiders jacket even more everyday. Thanks for sharing this! :TOH:

You can get the writing if you like it.. just put it in the pocket like a few of us did on here.. all my writing is in the pocket!
Great jacket!

Tony is a TOP NOTCH GUY! He does because he loves doing these things for everyone! He stands by his product and does not hesitate to fix or simply change something.
if all jacket vendors were like him.. then we would "really" be in JACKET WARS!

Very nice looking without all the wording on the inside. Love the constrast between the liner and the outer leather.

Thanks for the post, I've been wanting to replace the lining with the stitched writing for some time now... good to know it was a pretty simple process.

I've never been a fan of the stitched message or any kind of label, so to me it looks great this way. Good to know it's an option and it's exactly how I would order my future TN Raiders (I'm an optimist ;)).

The leather in that jacket looks practically edible. Does anyone know if it's the same stuff that US wings uses for their Collectors Edition Signature Series™ Indy-style Vintage Adventurer Jacket?

Do you have one of his 'Raiders' or just the KOTS.......it's funny how he can have this effect on 'grown' men.....I think it's partly how we've been looking for 'The jacket that we've always imagined ' for so long and thus far he's been the one to capture it for more and more folks (IMO)..... :notworthy:

It's the same. They source it from the same tannery.

I thought so. And US Wings is a bit more wallet friendly, though not as SA.

Yep, that's true!

But that said, it's an apples and oranges comparison, as any TN is totally custom made, where Wings are off the rack sizing. Still, it is the same exact cowhide.
