Whip Cracking-One Year Later

Post by bobm2004 »

Hello forum! It was one year ago this last Sunday that I came home with my very first whip, a 14 foot Adam Winrich bull whip. The story goes that I saw Adam at a Renaissance Faire, and a week later saw him again at another one. Fate would have it we struck up a conversation and I became infatuated with the whip. A week later Adam offered me the 14 footer, and a week after that, a year ago this past Sunday, I came home with the 14 footer. One year later I have a small collection of whips, so I thought I would share how an addiction, I mean this hobby, can affect a guy!

2=10' Bernardo Del Carpio Bullwhip
3=6' Jim Marshall Bullwhip

And after Adam, the good natured fellow that he is, allowed me to crack one of his fire whips, I plan on making that a present to myself soon!

Well thanks for looking and thanks for all the inspiration COW members! Lets all keep on cracking!! :whip:

Awesome collection! I love stockwhips, but that Winrich tri-color bullwhip looks fantastic! Adam, if you're reading....got any more of those for sale? ;)

Seriously, that is a great collection in just one year, and I am highly envious!

bob - I think you had it right the first time - "addiction!" ;) Truly a beautiful collection. Once my rich uncle that I've never heard of finally kicks the bucket and leaves me my millions I'll post some pics of my new collection. :D

Happy cracking, :whip:

Bob, Hard to believe its already been a whole year. Whip cracking can be a pretty addicting hobby, not just for the fun of cracking whips but also for the beauty and workmanship that goes into the whips themselves. You've collected together a great assortment of whips, you should be really proud :) .

All the best.

Great collection! I don't the have collection you have, but if I don't slow down here, I'm gonna be there soon enough!

How do you like your Bernie Wojckicki whip? I have one, same length. I like it, but MAN it's a heavy whip. I can't wait to get my Del Carpio!

darrenhenery-I love both my 10 footers!! The EM Brands whip is heavy and accurate! But if you think its heavy just wait to you get your Bernado Del Carpio. I always say if I miss the guy with the whip, I can jack him with the handle-it is like twice as heavy! And it tosses just as easy!! I have been practicing with one in each hand lately!

ohio jones-yes I love wood working, in fact I have made all the furniture in my house as I cannot stand spending money on some of the garbage they sell in stores. If you want you can take a virtual tour of my shop:

And I still am real lucky as I get to see Adam preform every weekend-man is that guy good!!
