Beloq's panama

Post by Snapbrim76 »

I went to HJ to look for a similar panama to Beloq's in Cairo. But the only panamas they do are wide brimmed. Where can I get a snappy panama to match my name?

Yes me too. I would be very interested in the hat specs as well. I did a search for Belloq and could not find any exact specs for his hat. I think it is confirmed that it is a panama. Is there a website or a thread on this board where they have good pictures of his hat?

If you want quality with a wide range of prices, talk to Art Fawcett. He get straw bodies from Panamabob (who sells finished hats, himself). The advantage of going through Art is that you can send him a still of the Belloq hat and ask him to get as close as he can. Art's website is; http://www.vintagesilhouettes.com/index.htm (the photos on his site are just a taste of his work).

If you're talking budget, http://www.hats-plus.com/ has a huge variety of straw hats.
