Another Great Whip from Bernardo!

Post by IndianaBravo »

Hey Everybody!

I've finally gotten a chance to put this whip through its paces, and all I can say is WOW! It is my 10 foot , 8 plait Kip Bullwhip from Bernardo del Carpio. I've never had an 8 plait before, and this whip surpassed my expectations. It is actually heavier than my Strain 10ft by about 100g, but it is expertly balanced. It rolls out very fluidly and practically cracks itself. Right out of the box I was flicking the heads off dandelions. Now is that the whip, or the whip user :D ? The whip itself is made of kip, but the Turk's head and ringknot are done in kangaroo, which is extra cool and really a nice touch! The great thing about Bernardo is that by offering these whips, anyone can can be a proud owner of a Del Carpio without breaking the bank. Bernardo went all out to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase and it was a pleasure to deal with him. I read it on some other post here, somebody said "When you get a whip from Bernardo, you also get a friend". Truer words were never spoken

Gracias Bernardo!

I just ordered a standard 12 plait from him.

But what does he charge for an 8 plait?

Just curious

You mentioned you already had a Strain, and then ordered this as your *first* 8 plait whip. I'm assuming that means your Strain is at least 12, right? I'm curious as to why you went for the 8 this time around. :-k Do you not like the higher plaits, or were you just looking to try something different?

Look great!! Bernardo makes a fantastic whip, for sure. Love the color, too!!!

Hi!
I paid $270 for an 8 plait, 10 footer. McFly, yes my Indy Strain is the standard 12 plait. I got this one from Bernardo because of the fact that it was kip hide and it would also mean spending half of what a 12 plait roo would cost, but still getting a great whip from a renowned whipmaker \:D/

I have a Bernardo 10 foot 12 platt and it is a monster! It is so easy to throw, I even get good solid cracks out of it with my left hand (off hand).

Your whip looks great and you cannot beat that price at all!

Now where did I put his email..............
