canadian mark vii

Post by ravencrow »

i don't know if the UK counterpart to this bag are like this and we have been adding more pockets or what, but the Canadian version has only 2 pockets on the back one snap button pocket and then a main one. i just notice this today while digging in a surplus store.

It has two flaps? If you have bought it, please post some pics of it.

I think you have a different version. The Canadian and British bags are made the same to specs except in color.

i didn't buy it because it's a hundred bucks with gas mask, but it has the mark 7 mark on the inside flap, one main pocket and three smaller pockets the two sewn int the back and a small one with a button snap, aside from that everything else is the same. this store has a few of them and they all look like that.

The pocket on the back is what really throws me. None of my MkVII's have them. If you cound snag pics that would be great.

so, the only difference it has to this:

Is the snap on the little pocket?

Just to make clear what you are seeing: you are looking down a compartment sewn to the inside of the front. directly towards the back from this is the main compartment with the devider in the midle, then there's the small pocket for the defogger and lastly two side by side compartments (I think were for some kind of documents or a manual) that are sewn onto the back.

Now I know what it looks like. Unfortunately I haven't seen enough pics of Canadian M VII's to know if this is standard or not. If only Swindiana would chime in.... He would probably know.

Maybe you could PM him?

Here's a shot of one from a recent thread:

All MkVII ones that I've seen shots of of the inside look like that and so did the two ones I once had. What does it look like compared to this one?
