Belt + Holster all in one...

Post by SciFlyGuy »

In my internet wanderings looking for a belt and holster I came across this...

...and was wondering if anyone here has purchased one? I was wondering what the quality was like.

Thoughts?

OK, it arrived today. The colour is too light for me, the leather looks a little cheap - the reverse looks more like the old cheap pressed leather rather than hide. The belt is 39mm wide, 4mm thick (Inch and a half and 1/8th inch) and the holster about 2mm thick. The capgun I put in the holster is 215mm long by 130mm tall (8 1/2 inches by 5 inches), so probably ok for a S&W but too small for a Webley.

Interesting how they include rings on the back as if it were for a Sam Brown belt. Can't quite make up its mind if it wants to be a S&W holster or a Webley holster in design.

Just based on the photo on their site alone, I would never have bought this. You're going to need some leather dye and sandpaper to fix that one up.

Yeah, the photo makes it look like naugahide to me.

I think my old softball mitt was made from some type of bonded leather. After a few years' use, the surface started to just crumble away down to the lining. Image
