I did finish Never any doubt in my mind (I'm stubborn and have a distinct lack of personal protection instinct), although I hit a significant wall starting at mile 97. Had that happened much earlier, it would have been a very very difficult time (not that it was easy).

Oh, and my bib number was the same as my CS jacket number

Sounds like the pattern cut/difference maybe has an affect on how the jacket fits and appears loose fit or not. Especially if the measurements are the same. Any chance of a side by side comparison picture of you wearing both your jackets Rask.

As you can see, although I gave Tony the same measurements the cut is quite different, specially in the sleeves, which are clearly wider and larger. That is, mainly what gives the jacket the sensation of being baggier, but the body is almost exactly the same.

Thanks a lot for the comment, Holt . I do love this goat. I payed 750$. That was the standard price for the goat Tony was using then. He sourced this leather for me because I wanted a darker colour than Han Jone's Raiders and he found this specially grainy goat in Italy, which I have heard here that is very expensive. He didn't charge me for it though, but I think it's price is 950$.

Yes, it does have it, although very subtly. I think that 'eggplant' is a little bit exagerated term... I would describe it like a redish brown undertone when the leather gets distressed. But, you know, colour perception is very subjetive. In any case I have to say that, even though the general shade of the jacket is fairly shown in the pictures, the undertone is missed (maybe because, as I told you, it is very subtle).

Interesting Rask,

The Raiders looks better off. The CS better on (as in wearing it) - better cut, I guess. But I really don't like the ultra-long sleeves. Any jacket where your hand almost vanishes into the sleeve makes me think you're wearing your Dad's clothes... It may well be SA but our job here (IMO) is to adapt SA to our own needs. That Raiders leather is fantastic in your jacket.

Personally, the longer CS sleeves have never been an issue for me. As a matter of fact, they were wonderful back last winter when I was driving the Plymouth home in the cold weather (no heater in the car, by the way), and where my arms were held out holding the wheel, the cuffs came up the wrist to a comfortable location. No cold drafts up the sleeve.

They work for me!
