The Raiders Pinch

I was just wondering, how tight was the Raiders pinch? In some hat replications that I have seen, the pinch does not look all that tight. But, in most scenes from the film, the pinch looks more like a sharp crease in the hat than an actual pinch. Please let me know if I sound crazy.

i love that pinch...it's my favorite on any hat Indy or non Indy. Yes that pinch is Indy but I'd get it on something else as well.

Don't get me wrong; I love that style pinch as well. But, in terms of screen accuracy, how tight should the pinch be? On a recent hat of mine, I have made the mistake of making my pinch so tight that it has now become a crease that won't hold.

I don't think the Raiders pinch is as tight as most people perceive it to be. I think that it shows up tighter on film than it really is. Lighting has a lot to do with this. Lighting makes the side dents appear deeper than they really are, why not the pinch? Thats what I think. It's tight, yes, but not razor sharp .
